Sterling is without a doubt the better choice of hotels to stay in San Jose that is close to the SAP center. (10 minute bus ride) Ed the manager is greets everyone with great hospitality. I lost track in how many times we have stayed there but each time has been excellent stays. Next to several eating locations and even a Safeway! Sterling is a low key type of hotel. Free WiFi plus a nice bathroom and great room. Tv is great, you can easily connect devices such a PlayStation or chrome cast so you can watch movies. Bed is very comfortable, fridge is nice also and the A/C is in working order from the times that we have stayed there. PFA pic attached.

Originally from the east bay and stayed here for a concert at the SAP center ($5 Uber). Our stay was nothing less than amazing. Don't let the word "inn" scare you away because it's completely and sparkly clean (very important to me) and newly renovated. The customer service from the manager was also IMPECCABLE. Ed has a way of humanistically connecting to customers. He is accommodating to anything you may need. In the short interaction. I had with him, I could tell he is someone who genuinely cares about people. His conversation was great and the next morning I was in a rush to leave and forgot my purse, Ed went to check the room and told me I had forgot it there at 7am. I would recommend this inn to anyone who needs a reasonable nights stay in San Jose close to the airport or the SAP center. I greatly appreciate the hospitality and quality of this place!

The owner of the Sterling Inn is very personable and gave me the best room and the rooms were immaculate and cleanliness very up-to-date fridge raider with chrome and clear glass , hardwood looking floors cooling relaxing colors in the room.Heater worked great.
